6 Perfect Holiday Lip Colors & Center Parts

A Peachy Keen Blog- Holiday Lip Colors: Red and Berry Lipsticks

I might be obsessed with red and berry lips these days. Maybe it's the holidays. Maybe it's listening to Style by Taylor Swift on repeat between Christmas stations. Whatever the reason, my recent lipstick hoarding seemed like a good opportunity to share my current favorites and wish you all a happy, happy Friday. May Christmas come quickly.

(Sidenote: I've accepted the fact that my hair wants a center part. Some days, I look like Dwight Schrute.)

Hourglass Lipstick in Shade Icon

First:  Hourglass's Icon. This stuff is kind of amazing & has turned into quite the regular. It definitely doesn't scream SUBTLE, but the pigment is beautiful and the formula will last through just about anything. (Also, if you accidentally smear it on your hands, front door, or sofa cushions, it will take copious amounts of effort to remove it. Ultimate staying power).

Revlon Colorbust Lip Butter in shade Candy Apple

Next: Revlon's Lip Butter in Candy Apple. All of the lip butters have a fabulous, but sheer, color pay off. The photos depict one application, but it easily builds to a vivid orange red. Perfect for quick application!

Stila Lip Glaze in Shade Cranberry

Stila's Cranberry walks the color line between red and raspberry, and is also buildable. Because it's a thick gloss, the formulation might be a little on the sticky side for some. BUT, your lips will look awesome, which may be worth a few hairs getting stuck to your mouth.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Shade Red Velvet

Another Revlon Lip Butter. Red Velvet was my jam last Christmas. All that's left in the tube this year is a little squished nub, and I plan on using it up over the coming weeks. (there's a chance it's expired, but I am whole-heartedly avoiding that possibility).  This will be a repurchase because it applies like a buttery dream.

L'Oreal leGloss in Shade Blushing Berry

Not all lip colors need to be loud. L'Oreal's Blushing Berry gloss gives you a teensy bit of pretty color and shine. The whole leGloss line tends towards being lightweight and smooth--you'll forget it's even there.

And a BONUS from Lex: the Sephora Cream Lip Stain in Always Red. For those of you who want to try the matte trend with a easy to apply, bold color, this guy was made for you.

What are your lippie favorites when winter rolls around?

    1. Thanks for stopping by--I mentioned this on your blog, but I have a soft spot for the Philippines. It was nice to see a blogger from that neck of the woods!
